Indication
Metformin hydrochloride (Glumet) is a biguanide hypoglycemic agent used in the treatment of Non-Insulin-Dependent Diabetes Mellitus. It is given to patients who are no longer responding to sulfonylureas, either alone or in combination with sulfonylurea.
