{"product_id":"rm_ciprofloxacin_500mg_tablet_-_mr","title":"RM CIPROFLOXACIN 500MG TABLET","description":"\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eCIPROFLOXACIN\u003c\/strong\u003e \u003cbr\u003e PRESCRIPTION REQUIRED\u003c\/p\u003e\n \u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e For the treatment of the following uncomplicated and complicated infections caused by susceptible microorganisms, when oral antibiotic therapy is not possible or not reliable: \u003cbr\u003e Urinary tract and kidney infections including cystitis.\u003cbr\u003e Pyelonephritis. \u003cbr\u003e Lower respiratory tract infections including acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis. \u003cbr\u003e Nosocomial pneumonia including hospital-acquired, ventilator-associated, and healthcare-associated pneumonia. \u003cbr\u003e Acute sinusitis, middle ear infection (otitis media) and eye infections. \u003cbr\u003e Skin and skin structure infections. \u003cbr\u003e Septicemia Intra-abdominal infections (the anaerobic component should be covered by an appropriate antibacterial agent) including infections of the gastrointestinal tract or of the biliary tract, \u003cbr\u003e Peritonitis. \u003cbr\u003e Bone and joint infections including osteomyelitis. \u003cbr\u003e Genital infections including adnexitis.\u003cbr\u003e Chronic bacterial prostatitis. \u003cbr\u003e To reduce the incidence or progression of inhalational anthrax following exposure to aerosolized Bacillus anthracis (ciprofloxacin serum concentrations achieved in humans serve as surrogate endpoint reasonably likely to predict clinical benefit and provide basis for this indication).\u003c\/p\u003e\n \u003cp\u003ePatient Information\u003cbr\u003e Ciprofloxacin may or may not be taken with meals. However, if taken on an empty stomach, the drug is absorbed more rapidly. Do not take Ciprofloxacin with dairy products (like milk or yogurt) or calcium-fortified juices alone since absorption of ciprofloxacin may be significantly reduced; however, ciprofloxacin may be taken with a meal that contains these products. Drink fluids liberally.
